Hall Facilities


The main hall can accommodate 150 people close seating, 90 people seated at table and 130 people dancing.


There are the following items of furniture


  • 14 large folding tables that can seat 6 to 8 people and 12 smaller ones that can seat 4. There are a few card tables.


  • 100 banqueting chairs and 50 hard plastic chairs (suitable for use on the rear terrace).


  • The main hall has 4 folding screens that can be used to sub divide the space.


There are plenty of power points and there are various options for lighting.


The Hall has a piano.


The kitchen is adjacent to the main hall with two serving hatches. The kitchen is equipped with:


  • commercial dishwasher
  • double oven and a stove top with 5 rings and a warming zone
  • heating cabinet
  • hot water dispenser (suitable for making tea and coffee - plumbed in and adjacent to the hatch)
  • refrigerator
  • hot water at sink (via immersion heater)


There is a full range of cutlery & crockery and serving utensils. The Hall does not provide cooking pots and pans.


There are three cubicles in the ladies and two in the gents.


The upstairs meeting room can hold 25 people, iand has its own chairs (24) and a round table. Other tables can be brought up the stairs as required. The room does not have disabled access.

The Village Green can be used for normal recreation. Other uses such as bouncy castles and marquees, require the consent of the Parish Council who may ask for a suitable donation. Enquiries to hopesayclerk@gmail.com.

Hire Charges


Main Hall £6.50 per hour (£5.50 per hour for parish residents)


Upstairs Meeting Room £5.00 per hour (£4.50 per hour for parish residents)


Heating, hot water and other power points are on a metered supply using £1.00 coins.


The Hall usually requires a returnable security deposit of up to £100.00. The amount depends on the nature of the event.


Charges for use of the skittles alley or the staging can be supplied on request.


The Hall hires out tables, chairs, cutlery and crockery for a reasonable charge.
